Split beaches, most popular beaches in Split.

Split beaches - There are numerous beaches and swimming areas in the city and its surroundings. Beaches in Split offers many possibilities for you to enjoy yourself during your holidays in Split. Beaches can be found in both directions from the city center. They offer excellent facilities for water sports like sailing and windsurfing. The beaches in Split like all of the beaches around this area of Croatia have rocks and pebbles. Bacvice beach is the most popular. In this tourist complex you'll find many bars, restaurants, and all types of equipments...

Bacvice beach

Bacvice beach, Croatia beach photos, croatia beaches Long, sandy shallow water is especially suitable for children, but adults can also have fun with “picigin”, a sport created on here and where the world championship is held. On the beach you can have a coffee, a cold drink, eat an ice-cream or a hot dog. As this is the most popular beach the problem can be crowds at the weekend. It is a beach that year after year is named BLUE FLAG for it's cleanliness, and services offered.

Znjan beach

Znjan beach, Croatia beach photos, croatia beaches The newest of Split beaches is Znjan beach, which is partly made of concrete but mostly is gravel. The Znjan area consist of several bays. The impression is that it lacks attractions, but bigger problem is the lack of shade. Next to the beach there are several catering objects so bathers can freshen up with a cold drink of cool under a parasol. It is situated approximately 5 km east of the center of town

Kasjuni beach

Kasjuni beach, Croatia beach photos, croatia beaches Kasjuni beach is a pebble sand beach situated on the south side of the mount Marjan, it can be reached by bus or on foot from Split's downtown area. The beach is narrow and rocky, so visitors should take the geology into consideration when packing. On Kasjuni beach there is a coffee bar with public toilets, there is no kiosk on the beach. It also has a high occupancy and is also clean and has crystal water.

Bene beach

Bene beach, Croatia beach photos, croatia beaches The Bene beach is situated on the north part of Park Forest Marjan, and it can be reached by bus, With a lot of shade and shallow water with sandy bottom it is suitable both for kids and adults. Next to the beach there is a complex of sports grounds (tennis, badminton, five-a-side football) and a restaurant which has a rich offer of fish and other specialties. The closest parking lot is 15-20 minutes’ walk away.

Kastelet beach

Kastelet beach, Croatia beach photos, croatia beaches Kastelet beach is situated in the bay before Kasjuni (500 meter closer to centre), this is also a pebble beach, but stones are small so you don’t necessary need any bathing shoes. On the beach there are several coffee bars and a snack bar, with affordable and good sandwiches. Cultural and entertainment life is particularly attractive in the summer season when the squares, streets and shops are crowded with people.

Ovcice beach

Ovcice beach, Croatia beach photos, croatia beaches In the bay after Bacvice, you find another sand beach warm water and pretty clean, Ovcice beach. It is great beach where you can rent chairs and umbrellas. The water is nice, but as this beach attracts too many revelers, unfortunately there is almost no space to put towels, so here you really have to show up early if you don’t want to end up lying on the stones or have to sit in the coffee bar the whole day.
