VisnjanVisnjan is situated in the continental part of the Istrian peninsula as well as near the sea. It is at only 12 kilometers east of Porec and 3 kilometers west of Pula-Koper road. According to the 2001 census it has a population of 625 with a total municipal population of 2.187. Most of Visnjan's economy comes from agriculture mostly olive growing and viticulture. In addition, most of the people work on the coast and travel daily to work. Inhabitants are known as very diligent people.    The old part, placed on a hilltop, has been inhabited since ancient times.
