Pula Airport
Pula Airport is the biggest Istrian international airport, located at Valtursko polje (Valtura field), 5 km from Pula city center. It's very easy to reach by taxi, bus or organised transportation. These airport was originally open in military purposes 1954...civilian airport became in 1967.Since than 'till 1983, more than 400 000 tourists (mostly from The Great Britain, Germany and Netherland) using that route...'till 1986, passenger's number goes to 550 000.

From the opening of the new terminal in 1990, airport registers a constant increase in traffic, particularly during the seasonal flights from April to November.Than again, during years of war, the airport was in stoppage but in 1999. became very important „take up spot“ for the passengers from Eastern Europe and former Soviet Union...airport stays active during whole year.
