Primosten travel & tourism guide
Primosten is one of the most popular tourist resorts in Dalmatia. It is a small harbour town, on a peninsular about 30 km from Sibenik. The area’s wide beaches and coves offer plenty of opportunity for water and beach sports. Economy is based on farming, growing of vines and olives, fishing and tourism.

Hotel, Camp & Marina in Primosten
Hotel Zora is situated at the tip of the peninsula, directly at the sea, surrounded by lovely rocky and pebbly beaches followed by a path that goes for 800 metres through thick pine woods. The hotel boasts 325 newly renovated rooms, all with balconies and sea view, a great restaurant and a swimming pool covered with a dome which can be partly opened, filled with heated sea water. Under the same roof there is a sauna, and steam bath.
Camp Adriatic is located directly next to the tourist town of Primošten (2km) and is 25km south of Sibenik, on the most beautiful part of the Adriatic coast. The Kremik Marina is located in a picturesque bay surronded by hundred year old vineyards that produce the famous Babić wine.Located south of Sibenik, and set snugly into the land, this marina is certainly one of the most protected in the whole of the Adriatic. The National Park Kornati is located 30 nautical miles away, and Split Airport only 30 km. The marina has 393 moorings in the sea and 150 on dry land.
Along the entire coast offers accommodation in private villas and apartments. The town offers many opportunities for sport and recreation: tennis, table tennis, bowling, beach volleyball, diving and sailing. Yachting and diving schools are also provided. Visitors may choose between lots of restaurants, taverns, etc. In 30-odd villages and hamlets of Primosten Burnji, in the hinterland, tourists are offered board and lodging. Very interesting is a large selection of home-made food: prosciutto, cheese in olive oil, lamb, roasted meat, wholesome and macrobiotic food - chickpea, olive oil, lentils, and other traditional dishes. Tasting of the famous local red wine, Babic, is a must. Babic is produced from the autochthonous wine sort in the famous vineyards, located in the rocks. These vineyards are granted the official status of a monument to human efforts and their representation is also found in the lobby of the United Nations building in New York.
Night life is excellent, even for the ones who like parting and for the ones who don’t, as disco club Aurora is separated from the center, so noise is not loud in the center. Aurora is one of the most popular disco clubs in Croatia, and often hosts leading world DJs.
Sights
In the heart of the old town is situated church of st.George, church was built on top of hills in the 15th century, it was thoroughly reconstructed in 1760. It keeps the icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary with silver adornments and a representation of St. Mary with Sts. Luke and George, a work by Master Cusi from 1719.At the entrance to the settlement there is a Baroque chapel from 1790. In the hamlet of Krusevo there is preserved the mediaeval church of St. Martin on which cemetery is the tombstones.In Siroka is a church of sv. Jere from 1460 year.
How to get
Town is well connected by road, by sea and by air. It can be reached by highway Zagreb - Split, considering that the local road, branching off from the main road (M2, E65), while the Split Airport is only some thirty kilometers.
