The name Podgora in total translation means – below mountain – and it is, like every other beautiful place at Makarska riviera that deserves your attention. Young people easily can reach neighbouring Makarska, Baska Voda, Brela or Tucepi and find their fun there in case if they want to roam around riviera, older generations can enjoy in sightseeing all of the churches and monuments; there's lot of remains in Upper Podgora which was inhabited 'till 1962; an strong earthquake destroyed all the houses, medieval churhes and the tower left behind Turks conquests...
