Dubrovnik beaches - best Dubrovnik beaches

Speaking of beaches in Dubrovnik, they are modest in general. You won't be able to find vast sand sweeps, but you'll have access to sparkling water and a nice stretch of rocks. And even though most locals choose to head to the islands of Lokrum and Lopud, there are also some closer options. Most of beaches offer a lot of additional content, such as cafe bars, restaurants, tennis courts, playgrounds, swimming pools, possibility of renting sport equipment...

Banje Beach

Banje Beach - The most famous one of all beaches in Dubrovnik is Banje beach. It is close to the Old Town making the the most convenient beach as well as the one with the best view of the town's walls. Not only that you can throw a towel on the gravel, but you can also rent chairs and umbrellas due to the fact that it is a managed beach.

Copacabana Beach

Copacabana Beach Dubrovnik - Even though this beach doesn't have anything to do with Rio (but the name!), it's a perfectly pleasant beach situated on the Babin Kuk peninsula. It's mainly a family type of beach because the water is shallow and there's also a toboggan for the kids. If you are the sports type, you'll be able to enjoy waterskiing, windsurfing as well as other water sports.

Lapad Beaches

Lapad Beaches - At the end of long pathway full with cafe bars and restaurants you will see many popular pebble beaches known as Lapad beaches. You'll be able to find beaches around the big hotels on the Lapad peninsula. And they are also open to all in case you are wondering! There are beaches stretching from the hotel Splendid to Kompas.

Sv Jakov Beach

Sv Jakov Beach - One of the most attractive beaches in Dubrovnik, found its place on a solitude spot in a high rising cove beneath the beautiful church and abbey of Sv. Jakov (St. James. )Even though most tourists don't know about it, locals actually love this one! To make your way to this secluded beach you'll have to head east from Ploce gate and go past the Hotel Argentina. After that go past the former monastery and also take the long stairway leading to it.
